Mauer Animal Clinic is fully equipped to perform most surgical procedures. Prior to each procedure, every patient receives a thorough physical examination and, when necessary, we will perform laboratory blood testing to check overall health and identify any anesthetic risks. We also provide advanced endoscopic procedures to assist us in diagnosing your pet’s health needs.

Requirements 1-3 + years of prior Clinical Veterinary Technician experience Knowledge of industry tools and equipment Passion for working with pets and their owners Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills Skills with: Blood draws, Placing IV catheters, Digital radiology including positioning, Dentistry, Anesthesia & Laboratory skills such as ear and fecal cytology; HM5; Vetscan; and Sedivue are preferred! Qualifications Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.  Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.  Excellent communication and teamwork skills.  Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred – or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.  Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.  Place IV catheter  Knowledge of anesthesia, surgery, and dentistry  Communication with team and DVMS Proper handling Responsibilities  Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.  Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.  Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.  Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.  Assisting DVM with exams, treatments, sx Induce, monitor, and recover patients under anesthesia Radiographs Collect lab samples and run in-house tests Administer medications and vaccines as directed Occasionally assist in exam rooms with DVM Monitor hospitalized patients What Makes Us Different  Referral program – join our team, bring your friends, and get paid!  Career development and advancement opportunities.  CE programs provided by AmeriVet at NO cost to you!   Let’s talk about your next opportunity Apply online or skip the paperwork and email me (Josh) at joshua.jones@amerivet.com anytime.
