Requirements
I’m working with a well-established nonprofit veterinary organization in Las Vegas that is redefining access-to-care medicine. Their flagship Decatur clinic is a large, full-service hospital operating 7 days a week, supporting a huge caseload of pets who might otherwise go untreated. This is a fast-paced, high-volume environment where no two days look the same. You’ll see a broad mix of cases including medicine appointments, dentals, routine and more complex surgeries, and urgent procedures that come through on the day. The hospital is equipped with ultrasound, x-ray and additional tools to support both diagnostics and surgical growth, and continues to invest in expanding its clinical capabilities. The team includes experienced veterinarians, including a highly skilled high-volume surgeon capable of handling an incredibly diverse surgical caseload. Doctors here are heavily supported so they can focus on medicine rather than admin or financial conversations, allowing you to work efficiently and see a high number of cases without being overwhelmed by non-clinical tasks. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys hands-on work, and wants to build or refine their surgical and medical skillset quickly. The organization is flexible and will support veterinarians at different stages of their career—from confident GPs to newer graduates who want exposure and mentorship in a high-volume setting. Key Highlights (Min 7 bullet points): • Large, full-service flagship hospital operating 7 days per week • High-volume caseload with exceptional variety across medicine, surgery and dentals • Opportunity to gain significant surgical exposure and hands-on experience • Experienced veterinary team including a highly productive lead surgeon • Strong support staffing to enable efficient workflow • Access-to-care mission with meaningful community impact • Flexible scheduling options including full-time 4 x 10s About You (Min 5 bullet points): • DVM or equivalent degree that allows you to practice veterinary medicine in the US • You hold (or are eligible for) a licensure in Nevada • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment • Confident with (or eager to develop) surgical skills including spays/neuters • Passionate about making a difference through accessible veterinary care Benefits (Min 5 bullet points): • Base salary from around $140,000 - $190,000 per year. • 4-day work week structure (4 x 10-hour shifts) • Exposure to a wide and varied caseload to accelerate clinical development • Flexible role design based on your interests and confidence level • Opportunity to be part of a mission-driven, growing organization
