Responsibilities: Provide urgent care and wellness services for companion animal patients Diagnose and treat non-life-threatening urgent medical conditions Perform outpatient medical evaluations and treatment planning Educate clients and maintain strong communication throughout patient care Collaborate with veterinary colleagues and support staff Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation Support continuity of care with primary veterinarians and referral partners Contribute to a positive and collaborative hospital culture Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will have: A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent Veterinary licence in good standing or eligibility for licensure in New Mexico DEA licence or eligibility to obtain licensure Strong communication and client relationship skills Interest in urgent care medicine and collaborative practice Compassionate, team-oriented approach to patient care This role is an excellent fit for veterinarians looking to expand their clinical skill set while benefiting from mentorship and ongoing professional development.
