Responsibilities As an Associate Veterinarian, you will: Perform comprehensive patient examinations and medical assessments Diagnose conditions and develop effective treatment plans Perform surgical and dental procedures Communicate clearly with clients regarding diagnostics, treatment options, and preventative care Prescribe medications and follow controlled substance protocols Maintain accurate patient medical records Monitor hospitalised cases and participate in clinical rounds when appropriate Promote teamwork and efficient daily hospital operations Collaborate with hospital leadership on clinical priorities and practice improvements Support ongoing staff education and training initiatives Uphold exceptional standards of veterinary ethics and patient care Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will have: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited veterinary institution Current veterinary licence or eligibility for licensure in New Mexico DEA registration or ability to obtain and maintain registration 1+ years of veterinary practice experience preferred Strong diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental skills Excellent communication and client relationship abilities A collaborative, professional, and team-focused approach Commitment to compassionate, high-quality veterinary medicine This opportunity is ideal for veterinarians who value clinical excellence, teamwork, and continued professional development.
