Job Description

We are working on behalf of a well-established small animal general practice on the New Jersey coast that is looking to welcome an experienced Associate Veterinarian to its team. This is a community focused, multi-doctor, hospital with a loyal client base and a team that has worked side by side for years, and the opening has come up as one of the tenured doctors prepares for retirement. You would step into a varied caseload that spans wellness, diagnostics, dentistry, and both routine and more advanced soft tissue surgery, supported by digital radiography, in house diagnostics, a dedicated surgical suite, and full dental services. Daily volume sits around sixteen to eighteen appointments, with lighter, surgery focused days, and the practice runs a healthy one to one or better doctor to technician ratio, so support is always close at hand. This is a real chance to practice high-quality medicine and surgery with genuine autonomy while continuing a legacy of care that clients already know and trust. Whether your strengths lean clinical or surgical, there is room here to grow, lead your own cases, and shape how you work. The group is also open to discussing relocation support and a sign on bonus for the right person. If you’d like to learn more about this exciting opportunity, please don’t hesitate to apply, or contact the Atlas team for more information. Key Highlights • Well established small animal practice with a loyal, long standing client base • Advanced soft tissue surgical caseload including mass removals, cystotomies, and enucleations • Digital radiography, in house diagnostics, a full surgical suite, and dental services on site • Strong doctor to technician ratio of one to one or better for real day to day support • Genuine medical and surgical autonomy backed by an experienced, collaborative team • Manageable daily volume of around sixteen to eighteen appointments with lighter surgery days • Flexible scheduling with a real focus on work life balance • Relocation support and a sign on bonus open to discussion for the right candidate • 401k retirement plan with company match About You • DVM or VMD from an accredited university, licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey • Around five or more years of clinical experience preferred • Confident with advanced general medicine and soft tissue surgery • A collaborative teammate who thrives in a supportive, community focused culture • Passionate about patient care and building long term client relationships • A strong communicator with a genuine client education mindset Benefits • Competitive base salary with production bonus on top • Performance based incentive program with no negative accrual • Generous CE allowance with paid licenses and professional dues • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance plus mental health resources • Generous paid time off and holidays • 401k retirement savings plan with company match • Relocation assistance and sign on bonus open to discussion
