Founded in 1990 in Bradford, Vermont, Stonecliff has been reborn as the Stonecliff Animal Clinic of New Hampshire, located at 227 Mechanic Street in Lebanon, NH. We had recently operated out of the SAVES building at 63 Evans Drive, Lebanon, NH but we have grown by leaps and bounds and now have our very own, brand new facility! Our daytime veterinary hospital provides top-notch wellness care as well as routine and complicated surgery services, dental, behavioral, ultrasound, and so much more.
We pride ourself on being an AAHA accredited hospital, USDA accredited hospital, AND part of the American Association of Feline Practitioners. Our goal is to provide the best veterinary medical care in the northeast with state-of-the-art equipment, the most knowledgeable staff, and a genuine love for our patients and their companions. To learn more about us click the link: https://stonecliffacnh.com/ Job Description This position is heavily focused on assisting with surgical procedures and anesthesia monitoring. Candidates must be proficient in both in order to be considered. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, anesthetic management, and completing surgical notes and charts for procedures assisted with. Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases. Qualifications We’re looking for: A certified veterinary technician, 2+ year experience required Licensed individuals with a specialty in anesthesia and analgesia or a specialty in surgery would be preferred, but neither is required Experienced and proficient in anesthesia and surgical monitoring Knowledge in pre-operative care, preparation for surgical procedures, post-operative care, and discussing continued care with clients Ability to interpret medical records and record client history accurately Ability to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe manner A high work ethic and positive attitude team member Ability to arrive on-time and ready to work Weekend availability Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate precisely Proficient in sample collection to include blood samples, urine, fecal, and skin Ability to properly set-up and process laboratory samples and tests Proficient in positioning and capturing radiographs A self-starter with the desire to continue to advance one’s knowledge and skillset Ability to receive in a professional manner constructive feedback to maintain hospital efficiency Additional Information Pay Range: $20 - $28/hr. depending on level of experience.
