We are home to one of the leading Avian veterinarians in the region and serve as a referral clinic for those clients needing exotic animal care. We are a busy small animal practice with a large mix of exotic and avian (70% Feline/Canine, 30% Exotic/Avian). We are proud to offer digital radiographs, ultrasound, in-house lab equipment, Digital dental radiography, Therapy laser, and multiple incubators for our exotic patients. We see a variety of pets including dogs, cats, small mammals, reptiles, and birds. Our team is committed to providing the highest level of veterinary care with compassion, knowledge, and respect. We are seeking a licensed veterinary technician to join our dedicated 3 doctor hospital. Our technicians provide exceptional patient care and customer service. This is the place for you if you are looking to advance your avian/exotic animal experience and nursing skills! Applicants must have the following attributes: • strong work ethic and good attendance • positive attitude and ability to work in harmony with all staff members • effective communication skills with peers as well as clients • the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment • a well-rounded technical skill set • passion for delivering exceptional care to patients as well as clients Responsibilities include: Monitoring anesthesia, placing IV catheters, drawing blood, interpreting/running lab work, small animal/avian/pocket pet restraint, hospitalized patient care, administering SQ, IM and IV injections, drug dosing, diagnostic imaging, dental prophies, sterility, hospital cleanliness, laser therapy treatments, answering the phone, maintaining medical records, and client education. A minimum of 1-year clinical experience is required and the candidate must have a valid Nebraska veterinary technician license.
