Established in 1974 by a husband and wife team of doctors, Pitts Veterinary Hospital has grown to become a five-doctor, full-service veterinary hospital. Throughout our history we have endeavored to remain at the cutting edge of veterinary medicine while maintaining a client-centered philosophy. It is our intention to provide your pet with the highest standard of care while meeting your expectations for client service. The success of these efforts is, in part, measured by the fact that today we are considered to be one of the premier providers of veterinary medical and surgical services throughout Lincoln, Nebraska. Requirements
We are looking for 2 Associate Veterinarians to join our existing team of 4 veterinarians in a busy small animal AAHA accredited hospital. The ideal candidates would be able to provide individualized compassionate care, have great communication skills with clients, and the ability to work well with colleagues. New graduates welcome; mentorship provided and encouraged. Interest or experience in providing Fear Free care to patients is required as implementing Fear Free is still a primary focus for our clinic. We strive to have a supportive clinic culture and maintain professional values. Our clinic practices high quality medicine and has a good reputation in the community, allowing us to see patient referrals from several other surrounding clinics. We encourage our veterinarians as they find their area of interest (ultrasound, acupuncture, zoo medicine, etc...). We perform in-house labs and have licensed technicians highly proficient in CBC's, UA's, and fecals, in addition to the standard heartworm and other snap tests. We use IDEXX Laboratories for our reference lab. We have digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, a Phillips ultrasound, an ekg, and surgical laser equipment. We recently completed an addition to our building to better serve our clients and staff. Our clinic offers health, vision, dental, life, and 401k benefits. AVMA-PLIT insurance paid 100% by employer. We invest in our employee's education and well-being and offer a continuing education stipend plus paid time off. Veterinarians are paid commission with a guaranteed base salary.
