Requirements
I’m working exclusively with a growing, well-established small animal hospital that has built a strong reputation around thoughtful, pet care and genuinely sustainable work-life balance for its team. This is a progressive general practice where veterinarians are encouraged to practice medicine in a way that feels fulfilling, not rushed. Appointments are structured to allow proper case workups and meaningful client communication, supported by a well-trained, efficient support team that keeps the day running smoothly. The hospital takes a holistic, integrative approach to care — considering immune health, nutrition, and individualized vaccine protocols — while still practicing high-quality traditional medicine and surgery. One of the most appealing aspects of this opportunity is flexibility. Veterinarians here are supported in developing their own interests, whether that’s surgery, dentistry, integrative medicine, or simply being an excellent all-round GP. Alternative modalities such as acupuncture, chiropractic care, and herbal medicine are already incorporated by some doctors, though this is not a requirement. New graduates and experienced veterinarians alike will find mentorship, collaboration, and a culture that prioritizes mental and emotional wellness. The hospital operates only during weekday hours — no nights, weekends, or emergency work — allowing you to truly enjoy both your career and your life outside of work. Key Highlights: • Progressive GP hospital with a strong focus on integrative, whole-pet care • Thoughtfully structured schedules promoting true work-life balance • No nights, weekends, or emergency shifts • Efficiently utilized, experienced support staff for smoother days • Clinical freedom to practice the medicine you enjoy most • Support for special interests (surgery, dentistry, integrative medicine, exotics) • Positive, team-oriented culture with an emphasis on wellness About You: • DVM or equivalent degree that allows you to practice veterinary medicine in the US • You hold (or are eligible for) a licensure in North Carolina • Open-minded with a desire to continually grow as a clinician • Strong communicator with clients and colleagues • Calm, professional, and compassionate under pressure Benefits: • Competitive ProSal compensation • Flexible, fixed schedule • Paid Time Off & paid major holidays • Health, dental, and vision insurance • 401(k), disability & life insurance • Employee discounts • No nights, weekends, or emergency work
