Requirements
We are working on behalf of a well-established, privately owned small animal hospital in Washington, NC that is looking to add a Relief Veterinarian to its schedule on a regular basis. This is a full-service practice offering wellness, urgent care, dentistry, surgery, and diagnostics, with boarding, grooming, and daycare on site. The team is collaborative and respectful, and they put real effort into doing right by their patients and clients. This relief role is wellness only, with no surgery, so you can focus on preventive care and client conversations. Appointments are 15 minutes, and each doctor is supported by 2 to 3 assistants, which keeps the day moving smoothly. You will never be on your own, as there are always a couple of other doctors on site. Shifts run from 9am to 6pm, with the last appointment booked at 4:30pm. The final hour is set aside for catching up on records and callbacks, and if you are all wrapped up, you are free to head home early. Fridays are the priority, but the hospital can make any weekday work for the right person. They are ideally looking for someone who can commit to a regular, recurring day rather than rotating relief, so this is a great fit for a DVM who wants consistent relief work with a familiar team.
