Veterinary Ophthalmologist – Wilson, North Carolina About the Role An exciting opportunity is available for a Veterinary Ophthalmologist to join a multidisciplinary specialty and emergency hospital in Wilson, North Carolina. The successful specialist will have significant clinical autonomy and the opportunity to influence equipment selection, scheduling, clinical workflows and future service development. This is an excellent opportunity for a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Ophthalmologist seeking the freedom to develop a specialty service while benefiting from the infrastructure and referral support of an established hospital. About the Practice This advanced referral hospital provides specialty and emergency veterinary care for companion animals across the surrounding region. The Ophthalmology service will complement an established multidisciplinary clinical environment, providing opportunities to collaborate with veterinarians across surgical, medical and emergency disciplines on complex cases. Dedicated clinical space is available to support the development of the department, with the incoming specialist able to provide input into the resources and equipment required for ophthalmic consultations, diagnostics and procedures. The hospital promotes collaboration, professional development and clinical autonomy, creating an environment where specialists can shape their services according to patient and referral community needs.
