Job Description

We are working on behalf of a privately owned, AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in Indian Trail, NC, that is looking to welcome an experienced Associate Veterinarian to its team. This is a practice built around doctor longevity, operating out of a brand-new, light-filled facility with a 5-to-1 support staff ratio and a culture that gives experienced veterinarians genuine autonomy over how they practice. The schedule is the standout. Doctors work an average 3.5-day week over 9-hour days, which comes out to fewer than 180 working days a year, with built-in 4- to 5-day weekends at least once a month and PTO on top of that. Saturdays are minimal, roughly two 6-hour shifts every three weeks, and there is no ER, no overnights, and no on-call. Surgery and dentistry are optional and shaped around your interests and strengths. This is a replacement position with an established caseload, so you can step into a full schedule quickly rather than building one from scratch. The case mix runs at around 50 percent sick visits and 50 percent wellness, roughly 80 percent canine and 20 percent feline, supported by a full in house lab, digital radiology and dental radiographs, Class IV lasers, ultrasound, visiting surgeons for advanced procedures, and an urgent care clinic next door for after hours peace of mind. Contract structure is flexible, with ProSal, straight salary, or production all on the table. There is also scope for the right person to take this on part time, at 2 days a week plus one Saturday morning a month.
