Registered Veterinary Technician – Highland Animal Hospital Fayetteville, North Carolina | Full-Time | $17–$25/hour Come join our team at Highland Animal Hospital! We are looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team in Fayetteville, NC. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of veterinary experience, strong surgical and technical skills, and is a dependable, detail-oriented team player who is passionate about providing excellent patient and client care. Veterinary dentistry experience is preferred, but not required. About Highland Animal Hospital Highland Animal Hospital is a busy small animal practice providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and preventive care to the Fayetteville community. Our diverse caseload and experienced team provide plenty of opportunities for an RVT to utilize their skills and continue growing professionally. Qualifications Current Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in North Carolina, or eligibility to obtain licensure. 5+ years of veterinary experience preferred. Strong surgical skills, including surgical preparation and assisting. Experience with anesthesia induction, intubation, monitoring, and recovery. Dentistry experience, including scaling and polishing, preferred. Strong animal handling and restraint skills with knowledge of clinical procedures. Proficiency in venipuncture, blood draws, IV catheter placement, medication administration, and vaccines. Experience with digital radiology, including proper patient positioning. Ability to obtain accurate medical histories and maintain detailed patient records. Excellent client communication, education, organization, and teamwork skills. Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, surgical procedures, and dentistry. Prepare patients for surgery and assist with anesthesia, monitoring, and recovery. Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records. Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
