Our Services Include Preventative and Wellness Care General Surgery and Dentistry Digital Radiology In-House Laboratory Diagnostics Rehabilitation Services Urgent Care Spay and Neuter Procedures What You'll Do Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, procedures, and surgeries Perform safe animal restraint and patient handling Collect diagnostic samples, including blood, urine, and fecal specimens Support anesthesia preparation and monitoring based on experience and training Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian Monitor hospitalized and post-operative patients Assist with laboratory diagnostics and patient treatments Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, preventative care, and home care recommendations Provide discharge instructions and follow-up guidance Deliver compassionate, professional communication during every client interaction Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation Keep exam rooms and treatment areas clean, organized, and stocked Collaborate closely with DVMs, RVTs, Veterinary Assistants, and support staff to ensure exceptional patient care Qualifications  Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and move throughout the hospital for extended periods   Ability to lift, carry, and safely restrain patients weighing up to 50 pounds, with assistance when appropriate   Ability to perform veterinary nursing tasks requiring manual dexterity, including sample collection, medication administration, and patient care   Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members and maintain accurate medical records   Ability to work in a veterinary hospital environment with exposure to animals, allergens, cleaning products, medications, and bodily fluids   Ability to adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment with changing priorities and patient care needs   Full-time schedule based on hospital needs   Flexibility to support occasional weekends or extended hours as needed   Reliable transportation required 1–2+ years of veterinary or animal care experience required Strong animal handling and restraint skills Strong patient care, anesthesia, laboratory, and clinical nursing skills required Excellent communication and multitasking abilities Passion for veterinary medicine and professional growth Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology Program Active North Carolina veterinary technician license or eligibility for licensure Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
