Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Veterinarian to join a modern, fast-growing small animal hospital in the Charlotte area, operating as part of a well-respected privately owned veterinary group. Opened in 2023, this purpose-built, 3,500 sq ft facility has quickly established itself with a loyal and expanding client base, offering a blend of general practice and structured urgent care appointments. The hospital features a spacious, open-plan design with five exam rooms (including dedicated comfort and isolation rooms), a fully equipped surgical and dental suite, and advanced diagnostic tools including ultrasound, in-house lab, handheld dental x-ray, cryotherapy, and light therapy. The clinic is also embracing innovation, currently trialling AI-driven medical records to enhance efficiency and workflow. You’ll be joining a close-knit and collaborative team led by an experienced Managing Partner with equity involvement, alongside an associate veterinarian with strong surgical and ultrasound expertise. With approximately 13 support staff and a goal of maintaining a 2:1 support ratio per doctor, you’ll be well-supported in both consults and surgery. The culture here is a genuine standout—daily team “rounds,” structured culture workshops, and a strong focus on communication and wellbeing create an environment where people enjoy coming to work. This is a growth position, offering excellent exposure to both routine GP and urgent care cases, with flexibility to develop your clinical interests—particularly in dentistry and surgery. New graduates will be considered and supported with structured onboarding and mentorship, while more experienced veterinarians will have the autonomy to shape their caseload and contribute to the hospital’s continued development. Key Highlights (Min 7 bullet points): • Modern, purpose-built 3,500 sq ft hospital opened in 2023 • Advanced equipment including ultrasound, dental x-ray, in-house lab & AI records trial • Strong support team with target 2:1 staff-to-DVM ratio • Combination of GP and structured urgent care caseload • No on-call or after-hours requirements • 4-day work week with light Saturday rotation (1 in 3, half-day) • Collaborative culture with daily team check-ins and mentorship available About You (Min 5 bullet points): • DVM or equivalent degree that allows you to practice veterinary medicine in the US • You hold (or are eligible for) a licensure in North Carolina • Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset • Interest in dentistry and/or surgery (preferred but not essential) • Open to both experienced veterinarians and motivated new graduates Benefits (Min 5 bullet points): • Competitive salary ranging from $110,000–$160,000 (DOE) + production • Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available • Health, dental, and vision insurance options • 401(k) and CE allowance with professional development support • Monthly wellness stipend (gym, massage, etc.)
