Job Description

We are working on behalf of a privately owned, integrative small animal practice serving the fast-growing Charlotte, NC suburbs from two well-established locations. Founded by a husband-and-wife team, with the practice owner leading clinical care and her husband serving as Hospital Administrator, this is a genuinely family-run hospital rather than a corporate group, and doctors here get a real say in how they practice medicine. The team's approach centers on treating the whole pet, not just the disease, blending traditional Western veterinary care such as preventive medicine, surgery, internal medicine, dentistry, radiology and ultrasound, with complementary services including acupuncture, chiropractic care, canine rehabilitation, and herbal and food therapy. This integrative model has helped build a loyal client base and a strong reputation in one of the hottest growth corridors in the Charlotte area. The hospital is looking for an energetic, engaging Associate Veterinarian to join the team and help expand services, with the flexibility to rotate between its two locations for variety. New graduates are genuinely welcome, and there is real encouragement and support for doctors who want to pursue certification in integrative specialties such as acupuncture, chiropractic, rehabilitation, pain management, or herbal and food therapy, plus room to grow into areas like ultrasound and exotics. Both full-time and part-time arrangements will be considered for the right candidate. Key Highlights • Privately owned, integrative small animal practice with two locations in the Charlotte, NC suburbs (Waxhaw and Matthews/Weddington), with flexibility to rotate between sites • Genuinely family-run practice, not a corporate group, so doctors get a real say in how they practice medicine • True integrative model blending Western veterinary medicine with acupuncture, chiropractic care, rehabilitation, pain management, and herbal/food therapy • New grads warmly welcomed, with real support to build clinical confidence at your own pace • Strong backing to pursue certifications in integrative specialties, plus room to grow into ultrasound or exotics • Located in one of the fastest-growing, most desirable corridors of the Charlotte, NC area, with excellent schools and a steady influx of new clients • Both full-time and part-time arrangements considered • Relationship-driven approach to medicine, without a high-volume, corporate-style caseload push About You : • DVM/VMD or equivalent degree, with eligibility for licensure in North Carolina • New graduates welcome, as well as experienced associates • Genuine interest in integrative or holistic veterinary medicine, or curiosity to learn • Energetic, engaging communicator who builds strong relationships with clients and patients • Team player who thrives in a collaborative, family-run practice environment • Open to rotating between two locations for variety and flexibility Benefits • Base salary $120,000–$135,000, commensurate with experience • Full-time preferred, with part-time considered for the right candidate • Support for pursuing certifications in integrative modalities (acupuncture, chiropractic, rehabilitation, pain management, herbal/food therapy) • Opportunity to rotate across two locations for variety and flexibility • Health insurance, PTO, and CE allowance (full details confirmed directly with the hospital during the interview process) • Genuine autonomy and long-term career development within a growing practice
