We're partnering with an AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina, to recruit a Medical Director who will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the practice. Following a period of transition, the hospital is entering an exciting new chapter, creating a unique opportunity for someone to build the medical culture, develop the clinical team, and truly leave their mark on the hospital's future. The hospital has proudly served its local community for more than 25 years, earning a loyal client base built on compassionate care and lasting relationships. As Medical Director, you'll enjoy the perfect balance of clinical practice and leadership, supported by dedicated operational, HR, marketing and administrative teams, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional medicine while building a high-performing veterinary team. You'll work a consistent four-day week with no weekend requirements, seeing a varied caseload of preventative medicine, surgery and dentistry while helping recruit, mentor and develop future associates. Whether you're passionate about coaching younger veterinarians, developing hospital protocols, or creating a positive workplace culture, you'll have the freedom and support to make a genuine impact. Key Highlights: • Outstanding opportunity to shape the future and culture of an established AAHA-accredited hospital • Lead the recruitment and development of your own veterinary team • Clinical leadership role with the support of one of the largest veterinary networks in the country • Four-day work week with no weekend requirements, promoting excellent work-life balance • Well-established hospital serving the Charlotte community for over 25 years with a loyal client base • Full operational, HR, payroll and marketing support so you can focus on medicine and leadership • Exceptional professional development including WOOF University, clinical studies and generous CE support About You: • DVM or equivalent degree that allows you to practice veterinary medicine in the US • You hold (or are eligible for) a licensure in North Carolina • Passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and leading by example • Excited by the opportunity to build, mentor and inspire a veterinary team • Committed to maintaining the highest standards of veterinary medicine and ethics Benefits: • Highly competitive salary with additional performance incentives • Comprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance • 401(k) with company match • Generous CE allowance and paid CE days, plus access to industry-leading education through WOOF University • Paid parental leave, generous PTO, wellbeing resources and mental health support
