Overnights or Swings available. On-call and Holiday Rotation required.  ​Veterinary Technician Responsibilities: Triage emergency and critical care patients Monitor hospitalized and ICU patients Assist DVMs with emergency procedures, diagnostics, and treatments Perform laboratory testing and patient monitoring Support advanced imaging and specialty procedures Administer medications and treatments accurately Assist with CPR and trauma cases Maintain detailed and accurate medical records Deliver compassionate communication and client support Collaborate closely with emergency veterinarians and specialty teams Qualifications: Registered, Certified, or Licensed Veterinary Technician (RVT/CVT/LVT) Minimum 2 years of veterinary emergency or specialty experience preferred Experience in a fast-paced ER or ICU environment strongly preferred Strong technical, communication, and teamwork skills Advanced patient handling and restraint skills Ability to adapt and remain calm in high-acuity situations EzyVet and SmartFlow experience preferred Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally Fluent English speaking and reading skills required Why Veterinary Technicians Choose SAVES: At South Asheville Veterinary Emergency & Specialty, Veterinary Technicians work alongside board-certified specialists in Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Neurology, and Emergency & Critical Care while building advanced ER/CC skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
