Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities: - Greet clients warmly, assist incoming patients, and process payments with care. - Answer phone calls promptly and schedule appointments efficiently. - Manage incoming and outgoing mail and emails. - Update and maintain accurate patient files. - Restock pet food and OTC products, including supplements and grooming items. - Keep the waiting room and reception area clean and welcoming. - Support team members with animal handling and restraint as needed. - Assist with boarding duties, including feeding and exercising animals when required. Required Skills and Competencies: - Compassion and Sensitivity: Show understanding and kindness toward scared or sick pets and their concerned owners. - Customer Service: Deliver friendly and efficient service both in person and over the phone. - Interpersonal Skills: Engage comfortably with clients and colleagues, maintaining a positive attitude and fostering teamwork. - Technology Skills: Confidently operate office technology such as computers, fax machines, and scanners. Proficient typing and familiarity with Microsoft Word and veterinary practice management software for scheduling, billing, and patient records are essential. - Mental and Physical Stamina: Remain calm when handling animals and communicating with clients. Ability to stand for extended periods and assist team members as needed. Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs. - Organizational Skills: Effectively manage office tasks such as taking messages, scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient files. Appearance and Attire: - Maintain a professional appearance with business casual attire or scrubs, paired with closed-toe shoes. The ideal candidate is dedicated to providing outstanding customer service and ensuring smooth front desk operations. They will warmly welcome clients upon arrival, manage initial patient interactions, notify the appropriate team members, and handle client payments at the end of appointments. Strong oral and written communication skills are key to thriving in this role. 🌟🐾
