St. Francis Pet Hospital is a thriving, family-owned and operated practice. We’ve been caring for pets across central Indiana for over 30 years, and in 2020, we opened a third location in Darby, Montana, because our founder refuses to retire! Our Indiana locations are small animal and exotic general practices, with one veterinarian who offers holistic medicine. Our Montana clinic began as a small animal practice and is now expanding into mixed animal medicine to better serve the community. We believe in practicing Common Sense Veterinary Medicine — providing excellent care in a balanced, thoughtful, and practical way.

Established in 2020 when a supposedly retired Dr. Tom realized the community he had grown to love desperately needed access to local veterinary care. In rural Montana, local can mean anything from next door to 2hrs away...yes, we have clients traveling quite a distance to get to us. We treat pets & livestock. It has grown way beyond the originally planned "mom & pop shop" that was meant to keep a semi-retired vet busy.
