Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Temporary Veterinary Kennel Assistant to support our hospital during a busy period. This is a temporary position lasting approximately 4–12 weeks and is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with animals and are looking to gain hands-on experience in a veterinary environment. This role is essential in helping maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our patients while supporting the veterinary team with daily kennel operations. Weekday, evening, and weekend availability required Hours will vary based on hospital needs Temporary position only (4–12 week duration) Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role: Cleaning and disinfecting kennels, cages, and hospital areas Feeding and watering hospitalized and boarding pets Walking dogs and providing basic animal care Laundry and facility upkeep Monitoring patient comfort and cleanliness Assisting the veterinary team with routine kennel duties Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment What You'll Bring: Comfortable working around dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness Previous animal care experience is a plus but not required What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is dependable, team-oriented, and passionate about animal care. This position requires flexibility, a positive attitude, and a willingness to help wherever needed during our busiest season.
