About the Practice This established veterinary practice provides comprehensive care for companion animals, equine patients, and livestock, delivering a broad range of medical, surgical and preventative services to the local community. The practice is equipped with modern technology and advanced diagnostic equipment, including digital radiography, ultrasound, thermal imaging, cold laser therapy, dental radiography, an in-house laboratory and surgical facilities. Daytime emergency care is also available, allowing veterinarians to work on a diverse and rewarding caseload. They are committed to maintaining high clinical standards while fostering a collaborative, supportive culture where veterinary professionals can continue to develop their skills and enjoy long-term career satisfaction. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive physical examinations and medical work-ups. Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions across companion animals and large animals. Perform routine and advanced surgical and dental procedures. Interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory results. Educate clients on preventative healthcare and treatment options. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records. Prescribe medications and follow controlled substance protocols. Collaborate closely with the veterinary and support teams to deliver exceptional patient care. Assist with maintaining clinical protocols and high standards throughout the practice. Participate in team meetings, continuing education and practice development initiatives. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will have: A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited university. An active veterinary licence or eligibility for licensure in Mississippi. DEA registration or the ability to obtain and maintain registration. At least one year of veterinary clinical experience. Strong diagnostic, surgical and dentistry skills. Excellent communication and client relationship-building abilities. A collaborative approach and commitment to high-quality patient care.
