WELCOME TO SAWMILL ANIMAL HOSPITAL Sawmill Animal Hospital, P.A. is the oldest veterinary hospital in Jones County, MS. The practice was established in Laurel, MS in 1954 by Clyde Odom, DVM on West 5th Street near West Laurel Baptist Church. Odom Animal Clinic was relocated to the present location at 1206 W 6th Street in 1964. Dr. Odom’s practice was mixed animal practice treating both large and small animals.

Sawmill Animal Hospital is the oldest veterinary hospital in Jones County, Mississippi, while its sister facility, North Jones Animal Hospital, is located just four miles down the road. Both locations are open to clients Monday through Friday. Many staff members have been with the practices for several years. Both facilities treat canine and feline patients and offer exceptional services, including boarding, dental care, digital radiology, grooming, in-clinic diagnostic testing, hospitalization/intensive care, microchipping, nutritional counseling, pain management, pharmacy services, preventative care, surgery, therapeutic laser treatments, ultrasound, vaccinations, and more.
