Join a state-of-the-art, AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in Kansas City, MO who is seeking an experienced Veterinarian ready to step into a Medical Director role! This is a rare opportunity to take true ownership of the medicine in a well-established practice, inheriting an active caseload and strong client relationships. The hospital is a full-service companion animal practice with a strong reputation in the community and a long-standing, experienced team of technicians and assistants. It is fully equipped to support high-quality, broad-scope general practice medicine, including surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and chronic case management. You’ll spend the majority of your time practicing medicine while having dedicated time to shape clinical standards, protocols, and the future direction of the hospital! Practice high-quality veterinary medicine utilizing cutting-edge equipment and facilities such as ultrasound, digital radiology, in-house labs, and fully equipped surgical and dental suites. This role is ideal for a confident, seasoned clinician who enjoys independence, values consistency in medical decision-making, and wants to lead by example without taking on the financial or administrative burden of ownership. You’ll have leadership and operational support behind you, but full authority over how medicine is practiced day to day.
