Job Description

Atlas is working with a wonderful privately owned practice nestled in the heart of St. Paul’s Cathedral Hill neighborhood—and they’re looking to welcome a new Associate Veterinarian to their close-knit team. This is a hospital where people truly love what they do. The team is kind, collaborative, and grounded in a shared mission: to provide exceptional care to their patients while fostering a supportive environment for one another. The practice has been serving the local community since 2012 and has grown into a trusted, go-to veterinary clinic for dogs, cats, and the occasional pocket pet. You’ll find a well-equipped space designed to help you do your best work—think digital dental x-rays, ultrasound, a full surgical suite, and an in-house lab. But more importantly, you’ll find a culture that values mentorship, clinical autonomy, and the ability to pursue your interests. You'll be working alongside a fantastic group of DVMs—from experienced vets to recent grads—plus a strong team of certified veterinary technicians, assistants, and vet students from the nearby university. The energy is fresh, the collaboration is real, and the days are genuinely fulfilling. With a predictable four-day schedule and flexible approach to urgent care, you’ll be able to keep your evenings and weekends for you. If you're looking for more than just a job—if you’re looking for a team that feels like a second home—this could be your perfect fit! Key Highlights: • Privately owned, small animal practice with deep roots in the community • Diverse caseload: 70% appointments, 20% surgery, 10% urgent care • Well-equipped hospital: in-house lab, digital x-ray (including dental), ultrasound, surgical suite • 30-minute standard appointments and 60-minute new client visits • Strong and supportive team: 4 DVMs, 7 certified techs, and experienced support staff • Tailor your caseload to your interests—dentistry, soft tissue surgery, internal med, you name it • Predictable 4-day workweek with only one Saturday shift per month • Modern, inviting facility located in a vibrant part of St. Paul About You: • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) Degree • Hold a Minnesota State License or have the ability to obtain one • Compassionate, down-to-earth, and a true team player • Enjoys variety and values both wellness and urgent care work • Keen to collaborate and learn • Excited about building long-term relationships with clients and their pets Benefits: • Base salary between $110,000–$150,000, depending on experience • Pro-sal structure with quarterly bonuses • 401(k) with employer matching (100% up to 3%, 50% up to 5%) • Health, dental, and vision insurance • CE allowance, license fees, and professional dues covered • Uniform allowance and gym membership reimbursement • Staff discounts on veterinary services • Generous PTO, holiday pay, and a paid volunteer day each year
