Atlas is excited to be partnering with a hospital in Muskegon, MI, who are on a mission to transform shelter and community veterinary care—and they’re looking for a like-minded Associate Veterinarian to join their compassionate, forward-thinking team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a nonprofit organization that combines clinical excellence with community service. You’ll play a key role in improving the lives of animals through both in-clinic care and regional outreach, helping ensure every pet—regardless of circumstance—has access to the treatment they deserve. You'll be delivering care to shelter animals, performing high-volume spay/neuter and wellness services, and supporting local shelters across West Michigan. Key Highlights: • Join a mission-driven nonprofit organization with over 50 years of animal rescue experience • Provide medical care for over 500 shelter animals annually • Support underserved communities by delivering accessible veterinary care beyond the clinic • Participate in high-volume spay/neuter and vaccination clinics that prioritize efficiency and compassion • Influence clinic operations and play a role in outreach strategy and program design • Work alongside a supportive and collaborative team of like-minded professionals • Contribute to ethical, high-quality shelter medicine and community outreach • Collaborate with local shelters across West Michigan • Be part of a veterinary care model that is sustainable, compassionate, and impactful About You: • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree • Hold a Michigan State License or have the ability to obtain one • Bring a strong sense of compassion and commitment to animal welfare • Able to work collaboratively and communicate effectively • Comfortable with—or open to—shelter medicine and high-volume care Benefits: • Competitive base salary of $100,000–$140,000, depending on experience • Student loan forgiveness eligibility through nonprofit status • Health insurance package including medical, dental, and vision • Continuing education allowance and paid time off for CE • Coverage for state licensing fees and professional dues • Generous PTO and holiday pay • Supportive work culture that values work-life balance • Make a tangible, lasting difference in the lives of animals and their families
