Requirements
What You'll Do as an LVT: - Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures - Monitor anesthesia and support surgical procedures and recovery - Perform dental cleanings and dental radiographs - Collect blood, urine, and other samples; conduct in-house lab tests - Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed - Place IV catheters and manage fluid therapy - Perform radiographs - Monitor patient vitals and provide nursing care to hospitalized patients - Educate clients on medications, preventive care, and post-op instructions - Maintain accurate medical records - Clean, maintain, and sterilize equipment and treatment areas - Follow safety, infection control, and animal handling protocols - Collaborate effectively with veterinarians and support staff If you love working in a fast-paced environment surrounded by wagging tails, purring patients, and a dedicated team, you’ll fit right in! 🐾 Who We're Looking For: - Completion of an accredited Veterinary Technician program (Associate Degree) - Successful completion of the VTNE and current Michigan LVT license - A genuine passion for both patient care and client education - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - A team-first attitude and professional demeanor - Prior experience in the veterinary field What We Offer: - A supportive, team-oriented work culture - Competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package - Opportunities for continued education and career growth - A fun, compassionate team rooted in the Kalamazoo community We’re excited to welcome someone who shares our commitment to exceptional care and teamwork! 🌟
