Animal Emergency and Specialty Hospital of Grand Rapids has been serving the Greater Grand Rapids area and surrounding community with 24 emergency veterinary care since 1991. We have worked hard to grow our hospital and to build a team of like-minded individuals who put patient care first. Building upon our excellence in emergency medicine, we are expanding to a second location, that will also include specialty services to better serve our patients, clients, and referring veterinarians.

Job Description

We recently expanded into a brand new, 10,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility, open 24/7 to better serve our community—and offer more opportunities for our dedicated team.   In your day-to-day, you will: Welcome our clients in a friendly, helpful, and compassionate manner Prepare and review documents and medical records accurately and completely Educate and advise clients regarding WVRC services and practices  Process appointments, emergencies, and client requests while ensuring the highest quality of care and satisfaction for our clients at all times Process invoices and payments accurately Update and maintain client/pet records and files in accordance with hospital legal requirements Assist with other administrative duties such as scanning, faxing, emailing, for example Support team to reach common goals Ability to recognize and seek guidance in all client-related cases where protocol does not apply What You Bring: Previous Veterinary Reception Experience preferred, but not required Ability to triage patients, assess and respond accordingly Ability to critically think and maintain a calm demeaner in stressful situations Passion for providing exceptional client care and being a patient advocate Outstanding organizational and communication skills Dependability Kind, hardworking, humble team player Perks & Benefits (for full time employees, unless specified otherwise): Medical, Dental, Vision -Multiple health plan options so that you can choose something that suits your needs best.
