About Us Great Lakes Animal Hospital has proudly served the Clinton Township community for more than 25 years, providing compassionate, high quality veterinary care for dogs and cats. Our team is dedicated to building lasting relationships with pet owners by combining personalized care with modern medicine and in house diagnostics. As we continue to grow, we are excited to welcome a new full time veterinarian and are building a collaborative support team that is passionate about exceptional patient care and creating an outstanding client experience. Qualifications Current Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credential in the state of Michigan required. Degree from an AVMA accredited Veterinary Technology program. Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures. Experience monitoring anesthesia, assisting with surgery, dentistry, and patient nursing care. Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills. Passion for providing compassionate, high quality patient care and client education. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, surgical procedures, and dentistry. Safely handle and restrain patients while administering medications, vaccines, and treatments. Monitor anesthesia and provide attentive patient care before, during, and after procedures. Collect laboratory samples, perform diagnostic testing, and maintain accurate medical records. Educate clients on preventive care, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment while supporting a collaborative team culture.
