Requirements
We are working on behalf of a well established small animal hospital in Allen Park, MI that is looking for a Relief Veterinarian to provide regular coverage starting in January. The hospital is part of a close-knit group of around 20 practices, most of them in Michigan, that share resources and back each other up so patients get consistent, high quality care wherever they are seen. Coverage is needed on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, with shifts that can flex anywhere between 9am and 7pm. You do not need to take every day. The team is happy to talk about partial shifts or a schedule built around the days that work for you. You will be the doctor on the floor for your shift, supported by two to three technicians or assistants at all times. There are no surgical expectations for relief doctors who are new to the hospital, so you can focus on appointments, wellness and sick visits. If the fit feels right over time, a longer term arrangement, including surgery, is open for conversation.
