Maine Veterinary Medical Center is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Oncology Technician Assistant to our team.  At our Rarebreed clinic, you can help reimagine the veterinary experience in your community. Our innovative environment means you’ll get to work with specialists of all stripes and practice cutting edge care!  As part of our team, you’ll work with the latest technology, gain access to state-of-the-art training facilities, and collaborate with a positive team to deliver the highest quality of care to the pet patients we all love.  The schedule we are looking to fill is Monday through Friday 10am- 6pm.  Maine Veterinary Medical Center (MVMC) is a VECCS level two certified Rarebreed practice that has full in-house laboratory capabilities, a fluoroscopy suite for interventional procedures, a GE 64-slice CT, MRI, respiratory ventilator, in-house telemetric monitoring, ultrasound and endoscopy. MVMC is a multi-specialty hospital offering services in Emergency & Critical Care, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Radiology, and Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine. Our collaborative team of experienced emergency clinicians and criticalists enables us to provide advanced, high-quality care to a knowledgeable and dedicated client base. https://mvmc.vet/  Technician Assistant - Oncology  Maine Veterinary Medical Center in Scarborough, ME  $18.00-$22.00 per hour based on experience  WHAT YOU’LL DO    Support technicians and veterinarians with oncology patient care, including safe handling and restraint of patients undergoing diagnostics and treatments   Assist with chemotherapy appointments by preparing rooms, gathering supplies, and ensuring proper safety and cleanliness protocols are followed   Monitor patient comfort by changing bedding, walking patients, and maintaining a clean, low-stress environment   Clean and disinfect treatment areas following oncology-specific safety protocols   Assist with stocking and organizing supplies for oncology services   Support client experience by helping with patient flow, discharge readiness, and general client communication as directed   Maintain accurate records and ensure all treatments, forms, and patient identifiers are up to date   Observe patients closely and alert technicians to any changes in condition or behavior  Our Comprehensive benefit package includes: Medical, dental, and vision insurance   401(k) with a total company match up to 4%, after 6 months of employment   Generous paid time off    Professional development support   Uniform Allowance  Mental Health Resources   Company paid bonding leave or applicable state provided bonding leave   Perks for Your Pets Too!
