Job Description

Hotham Veterinary Services is looking to add a part time, compassionate and skilled Veterinary Assistant to our team. At Hotham's Veterinary Services, you can help reimagine the veterinary experience in your community. Our collaborative environment means you’ll play an active part in proactive planning, for both the patients and the hospital. As part of our team, you’ll work with the latest technology, gain access to state-of-the-art training facilities, and collaborate with a positive team to deliver the highest quality of care to the pet patients we all love. Hotham Veterinary Services is currently a 4-doctor practice with 2 locations. Our first hospital in Presque Isle and a second location in Houlton, Maine. We have a fantastic support team at each site and well-equipped, well cared for hospitals that include ultrasound, full lab, and digital radiology. https://hothamvets.com/ Veterinary Assistant Hotham Veterinary Services-Houlton in Houlton, ME WHAT YOU’LL DO Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their loved ones Keep accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy Prepare and maintain the exam rooms and treatment areas Perform physical assessments and record your observations Prepare estimates for procedures and discusses financial commitments with clients Explain necessary follow-up and home care instructions Stock clinic treatment area and exam rooms, and inform inventory manager when supplies need to be ordered Care for all surgical materials and keep the operating room properly stocked and prepared for surgery Our Comprehensive benefit package includes: 401(k) with a total company match up to 4%, after 6 months of employment  Flexible scheduling  Continuing education allowance and professional development support  Mental Health Resources  Company paid bonding leave or applicable state provided bonding leave  Perks for Your Pets Too!
