Job Description

PetMedic Freeport is seeking a compassionate, skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team. At our Rarebreed clinic, you can help reimagine the veterinary experience in your community. As part of our team, you’ll work with the latest technology, gain access to state-of-the-art training facilities, and collaborate with a positive team to deliver the highest-quality care to the pet patients we all love.  Veterinary Technician PetMedic in Freeport, ME $22.00 - $28.00 per hour Eligible for quarterly bonuses under Rarebreed’s profit-sharing program WHAT YOU’LL DO Perform triage evaluation of the condition of a variety of patients Create and maintain treatment sheets Calculate and administer scheduled medications Place and maintain catheters  Record all treatments and patient status observations Charge for all treatments and procedures Alert the DVM with any changes in a patient’s status Perform radiographs and laboratory analyses Interact with clients, provide patient updates, financial updates, and manage patient visits Able to comfort, handle and restrain large and small animals Our Comprehensive benefit package includes: Medical, dental, and vision insurance  401(k) with a total company match up to 4%, after 6 months of employment  Generous paid time off and flexible scheduling  Continuing education allowance and professional development support  Mental Health Resources  Company paid bonding leave or applicable state provided bonding leave  Perks for Your Pets Too!
