About the Practice This is a modern, fully equipped small animal veterinary practice in Maine with a strong regional reputation for high-quality care and long-term client relationships. The hospital features: 5 examination rooms 2 dedicated surgical suites Spacious treatment area Separate dog and cat wards, including indoor dog runs They operate exclusively as a 100% small animal practice, offering a broad and advanced medical and surgical caseload including: Orthopedic surgery Digital dental radiography Ultrasound diagnostics Advanced sterilisation systems (new equipment being introduced) Chemotherapy services The practice also works collaboratively with nearby clinics and local animal welfare organisations, supporting the wider veterinary community through referral-level care and shared case management. Responsibilities Deliver high-quality clinical care to small animal patients Perform routine and advanced surgical procedures, including orthopaedics (experience dependent) Carry out medical consultations, diagnostics, and treatment planning Utilise in-house diagnostic tools including ultrasound and digital dental radiography Provide compassionate client communication and continuity of care Work collaboratively with the veterinary team on complex cases Support clinical standards, protocols, and continuous improvement initiatives Optional leadership development opportunities for senior candidates Candidate Profile Qualified Veterinarian eligible to practice in Maine, USA Experience in small animal general practice (preferred) Strong medical and/or surgical competency Interest in advanced diagnostics and case management Confident communicator with strong client relationship skills Team-oriented with a collaborative approach Open to both experienced veterinarians and confident early-career clinicians seeking development Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary (DOE).
