Requirements
We are working on behalf of a well-established 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital in Frederick, MD that is looking to welcome a full-time Emergency Veterinarian to its team. The hospital serves pets and families across the greater DC area and the surrounding MD, WV, and PA tri-state region, and has a strong local referral network built on complementing, not competing with, primary care practices. In-house specialists cover surgery, orthopedic surgery, internal medicine, sports medicine, rehabilitation, and pain management, and the hospital also offers hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Specialists see appointments on weekdays and are on call for emergencies, so you have real backup on complex cases. In this role you will see sick and injured patients, manage hospitalized cases, build and oversee treatment plans, perform surgery, and deliver critical care alongside a skilled technician team. The culture puts genuine weight on emotional intelligence, teamwork, and a healthy work/life balance. Whether you are an experienced ER doctor or newer to emergency medicine, you will be supported. Newer clinicians can apply for a structured ER training program, on-demand mentorship is available throughout your career, and experienced doctors can explore traveling ER roles across a national network of hospitals. Compensation follows a ProSal model with a competitive base, production on top, and no negative accrual. As part of a larger national group, the hospital gives you the feel of a local, community-rooted team with the resources, CE, and benefits of a much bigger organization behind you.
