The Dogs and Cats Emergency & Specialty in Bowie, MD is hiring a full- time Surgery Veterinary Technician to join our outstanding team! We offer a generous sign- on bonus for qualified Registered Veterinary Technicians!   Compensation: Based on experience and skill set. $23- 29/hr. Required Skills:  Proficient in calculating doses and administering intravenous drugs and fluids  Capable of monitoring patients under anesthesia (ventilator experience is a plus!)  Strong client communication skills to obtain histories and review post- operative concerns Skilled in obtaining and analyzing laboratory samples (blood, urine, and stool)  Experience in catheter placement  Strong time management, initiative, and task prioritization skills Benefits & Compensation: Compensation is based on experience and skill level. $23 - 29/hr.
