About the Area

Our hospital is located about 30 minutes north of Baltimore, MD. We are a busy 24/7 ER only hospital with endoscopy and surgery capabilities, including ForceTriad Ligasure, full in house Idexx Labs. While many of our doctors do perform surgeries in house, we have several surgical referral practices nearby, so if you are not comfortable cutting, you don't have to worry- you can refer out!

Job Description

Animal Emergency Hospital (AEH) in Bel Air, MD is expanding! We are adding internship-trained or experienced emergency veterinarians who have developed an interest in emergency medicine and soft tissue surgery. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is caring, compassionate and dedicated to patients and their owners. Full and part-time options are available, with a flexible, rotating schedule. We often plan our schedule to allow full-time doctors to enjoy 4 to 5 consecutive days off each month. If you’re a night owl, check out our Overnight-only ad here!  Salary and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range of $180,000 to $220,000+ for full-time, experienced ER DVMs! We are a 24-hour Emergency/Critical Care Practice that cares for small animals. We have a skilled support staff and a pleasant working environment. Our hospital offers 15,000 sq ft with 8 exam rooms and 2 surgical suites. We have also recently added Urgent Care DVMs to our practice. Our new hospital offers 15,000 sq ft with 8 exam rooms and 2 surgical suites; all boasting a spacious, organized design focused on client, patient, and staff comfort as well as efficiency. We have specialized equipment, technology, and services such as:  -In-house diagnostic testing and blood work including CBC, Chemistry, Electrolytes, Urinaylsis, Coags, blood gas, ionized calcium, In-house quantitative cortisol, pancreatic lipase, Fecal Analysis, PCV / TS, Canine 4Dx, CPL, Parvo, Feline Heartworm, FELV, FIV testing, cytology, etc.  -Other diagnostic testing: Blood pressure, EKG, Pulse Ox, Tonometry, etc. -Endoscopy -ForceTriad/ Ligasure surgical monopolar/ bipolar/ vessel sealing  -Digital X-rays and new x-ray machine -Oxygen Cages -Ventilators -Neonatal incubator cage -Large Intensive Care Units -Cat-only room -Indoor exercise and walking area -New Ultrasound Machine -Emergency dental procedures -Large pharmacy -Multiple large surgical suites -Large surgical prep room with both steam and plasma sterilizers -Separate Dog & Cat Isolation Wards  -Spacious lobby and exam rooms that are all designed to bring the comforts of home in a clean, modern design  -Quiet and modern doctor’s office with electric custom height desks and laptop docking systems  -Large conference spaces and wet lab areas hosting regular in-house CE  -Quiet bunk room equipped with full bath for emergencies  Location Bel Air, MD is located in beautiful Harford County, MD, which boasts multiple state parks ideal for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and kayaking.
