This full-time Veterinary Technician opportunity is ideal for a Vet Tech looking to grow advanced anesthesia, surgery, and specialty medicine skills in a Level 1 Emergency & Critical Care specialty animal hospital. Work independently overnight alongside the on-call resident and surgeons, providing anesthesia support for ASA I-IV cases while supporting advanced procedures, surgery and specialty cases. Employee Referral Bonuses + Employee Pet Discount Access exclusive financial benefits to help you save on student loans, mortgages, and personal loans NVA Pet Resort Discount + Pet Insurance Discount Medical, Dental, Vision + HSA/FSA Options Insurance Options: Life and AD&D + Short & Long-Term Disability + Critical Illness + Accident + Hospital Indemnity 401(k) with employer match Employee Assistance Program Schedule Full-Time, Overnight Four 10-hour shifts each week, 9:00 PM–7:00 AM Shift differential of $5/hour applies to hours worked between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM Holiday shifts are compensated at DOUBLE PAY Responsibilities Work independently overnight with the on-call resident and surgeons to manage anesthesia for emergent surgical cases Perform patient assessments, diagnostics, treatments, and nursing care in coordination with the on-call surgical team Execute, monitor, and recover assigned sedation and anesthetic events, escalating to the on-call resident or surgeon as needed Monitor anesthetized patients using advanced anesthesia equipment and respond appropriately throughout every procedure, including during periods of independent overnight coverage Deliver exceptional nursing care while advocating for patient comfort and safety Communicate effectively with the on-call resident, surgeons, and overnight team to ensure outstanding patient outcomes Qualifications Experienced Veterinary Technician, Vet Tech, CVT, RVT, or LVT preferred Anesthesia, surgery, specialty, emergency, or critical care experience preferred Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound clinical judgments during overnight hours with on-call support Strong patient monitoring, technical, and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a specialty veterinary environment Fluent English speaking and reading skills required Did you know?
