Job Description

Westford Veterinary Emergency and Referral Center is seeking an experienced Emergency Veterinarian to join our 24/7 emergency and referral hospital in Westford, MA. Since our founding in 2012, we’ve been a trusted provider of emergency and advanced veterinary medicine in the region. Our highly skilled team is dedicated to collaboration and delivering the highest standard of care in the industry.    As an Emergency Veterinarian with us, you’ll enjoy a three-day work week with a competitive base salary plus production earning potential, all while being part of a supportive team that celebrates success and focuses on delivering innovative medicine.    Position Highlights   Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week with various 8a-8p inpatient or receiving, 10a-10p and 12p-12a receiving, and rare overnights to support the schedule  No on-call duties  Clinical Impact & Responsibilities  Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care medicine for companion animals, primarily dogs and cats, through thoughtful medical and surgical treatment  Partner closely with a collaborative, multi-disciplinary clinical team and maintain strong communication with referring veterinarians  Contribute to a culture of learning and clinical excellence by participating in continuing education, training, and professional development opportunities  Compensation and Benefits   Salary: $170,000–$200,000 (based on experience)  $50,000 sign-on bonus  Holiday and overnight coverage incentives  Comprehensive benefits package, including: Continuing education allowance  Uniform stipend  License fee reimbursement  Health and dental insurance with excellent employer match  Tuition reimbursement Mental Health Resources  Generous paid time off (sick, vacation, and personal float days)  Pet care discounts, including staff feeding program and reduced rates  Supplemental insurance options  Requirements  DVM or equivalent  Internship trained or min 1 year ER experience (may consider new grad or less experience if the right fit)  Ability to obtain veterinary licensure in Massachusetts  About Our Hospital  Located in Westford, MA, just off I-495  You will be part of an elite team of emergency clinicians and specialists  Access to on-site specialty services including surgery, anesthesia, internal medicine, neurology, ophthalmology, physical rehabilitation, and urgent care  Two experienced medical directors on site  Supported by a highly trained team of veterinary professionals  A culture of collaboration with many long-term team members still with us since day one  Why Join Rarebreed Veterinary Partners?  At Rarebreed, we believe great patient care starts with empowered professionals.
