Job Description

We are working on behalf of a well-established small animal hospital in South Hadley, MA that is looking to welcome a full-time Associate Veterinarian to its team. The practice has served South Hadley, Chicopee, Holyoke, and Granby for more than 20 years and is still growing, with a collaborative, supportive culture built around high-quality, compassionate care. The caseload is mainly cats and dogs, with rabbits and pocket pets seen regularly. Exotic small animal medicine has long been a strength of this hospital, so an interest in the occasional bird or reptile is a real plus, though not required. Doctors practice medicine independently while benefiting from the backing of a large national network, including access to specialists and a wide range of in-house professional development. The hospital is equipped with full digital radiography, including dental radiographs, a user-friendly EMR, and a strong, experienced support team. Work/life balance is taken seriously here. There are no on-call hours, the hospital is closed on Sundays, and opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to 4pm. New graduates are welcome to apply and will find a supportive place to build confidence. Outside of work, South Hadley offers hiking along the Holyoke Mountain Range, year-round music and arts events, strong schools, and historic town centers, with more culture and cuisine a short drive away across the Pioneer Valley and into southern Vermont and New Hampshire.
