Responsibilities Include (But Are Not Limited To): - Assisting with patient vitals alongside Veterinary Assistants. - Supporting Veterinarians in examinations and outpatient procedures. - Participating in treatment plan completion under Veterinarian instruction. - Safe restraint of small animals during procedures. - Conducting technician/nursing appointments. - Providing compassionate care to hospitalized and surgical patients. - Monitoring vital signs throughout medical procedures. - Preparing samples for labs and assisting with in-house testing. - Preparing and administering medications. - Recognizing medical emergencies and illnesses. - Maintaining a hospitable environment and basic clinic housekeeping. - Entering patient information into management software. - Participating in client education and care. Preferred Experience and Skills: - 3+ years of experience as a Certified Veterinary Nurse/Technician or completion of a NAVTA-approved program. - Availability to work weekdays and rotating weekends. - Comfort with computers and online tools. - Familiarity with veterinary terminology and pharmaceuticals. - Ability to lift 50 lbs independently. - Strong teamwork and communication skills. - Passion for pet care and well-being. - Previous animal handling experience preferred.
