Receptionist/ Customer Service Representative Position Overview: Supports and adds value to an efficient organization dedicated to quality care and exceptional service. Performs a variety of clerical and customer service work in providing support to the hospital. Ideal candidate must be a people person and maintain a professional appearance. Job description includes record keeping, clerical duties related to animal care and treatment: to provide miscellaneous support to the Practice Manager and staff. This position requires practical knowledge of the hospital’s organization and services, patient treatment, knowledge of standard procedures, records and terminology relating to veterinary care. Major Goals: To be efficient, pleasant, courteous, concerned and helpful to all clients under all circumstances at all times. To keep the office organized, ensuring a smooth and efficient client flow. To see that appointments remain on schedule, being fully aware and familiar with times required for different procedures and problems, scheduling accordingly. To educate clients as to the best products to fit their pet care needs. To be able to multitask & handle multiple phone lines.
