Veterinary Technician, Emergency Overnight | $26–$30/hourLocation: Lawrence, MassachusettsSchedule: Full-Time | Three 12-hour overnight shifts Compensation: $24–$30/hour + $5/hour Overnight Shift Differential (11p - 6a)Bulger Veterinary Hospital is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician, Emergency to join our overnight Emergency team in Lawrence, Massachusetts. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Veterinary Technician looking to grow ER and ICU skills while working in a collaborative specialty hospital environment.As an Overnight Emergency Veterinary Technician at Bulger, you’ll work alongside experienced veterinarians, specialists, and technicians while supporting advanced patient care and making a direct impact every shift.Compensation $26–$30/hour based on skills and experience Overnight shift differential: +$5/hour for hours worked between 11:00 PM–6:00 AM Full-Time Benefits: Continuing Education & Uniform Allowance + Free VetBloom access (RACE-approved CE) CVT/LVT/RVT license reimbursement RECOVER Training for advanced CPR skills Veterinary Technician Education Sponsorships + VTNE reimbursement + VTS Support 16-Week VTNE Study Group Professional Development Assistance Generous PTO + Paid Holidays Employee Referral Bonuses + Employee Pet Discount Access exclusive financial benefits to help you save on student loans, mortgages, and personal loans NVA Pet Resort Discount + Pet Insurance Discount Medical, Dental, Vision + HSA/FSA Options Insurance Options: Life and AD&D + Short & Long-Term Disability + Critical Illness + Accident + Hospital Indemnity 401(k) with employer match Employee Assistance Program Schedule Three 12-hour shifts Responsibilities As an Emergency & Critical Care Veterinary Technician, you will: Triage emergency patients and support the intake process Guide clients through their pet’s treatment and care plan Collaborate closely with DVMs on diagnostics, treatments, and procedures Perform anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery care Place IV catheters and collect laboratory samples Assist with radiographs, imaging, surgeries, and emergency procedures Monitor hospitalized patients and communicate changes in condition Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation Deliver exceptional patient care and client service in a fast-paced emergency setting Qualifications 3+ years of experience in a veterinary clinical setting required Strong anesthesia and patient monitoring skills CVT, LVT, or RVT preferred, but not required Emergency or critical care experience preferred Confidence with catheter placement, laboratory work, and technical nursing skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented hospital environment Strong communication skills and commitment to exceptional patient care Fluent English speaking and reading skills required About Bulger Veterinary Hospital Bulger Veterinary Hospital is a multi-specialty and emergency veterinary hospital serving pets and families throughout Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire.
