This role is ideal for a client-focused professional who enjoys helping pets and their families while supporting a collaborative veterinary hospital environment.As a Veterinary Receptionist at Bulger, you’ll be one of the first points of contact for our clients and patients. You’ll help create a welcoming, supportive experience for pet owners while assisting our medical teams in a busy multi-doctor, multi-specialty hospital environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, communicating clearly, staying organized in a fast-paced setting, and bringing empathy to every interaction. Responsibilities Welcome clients and patients while providing a warm, professional experience Prepare and review electronic medical records Assist with appointment scheduling and general client communication Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately Process payments and assist with financial transactions Support medication fulfillment with attention to detail Provide compassionate support to clients during urgent and end-of-life situations Maintain accurate documentation and communication across departments Qualifications We’re looking for candidates who are: Passionate about delivering outstanding client service Friendly, professional, and welcoming in a fast-paced environment Strong communicators with excellent organizational skills Able to multitask while maintaining attention to detail Comfortable working collaboratively with multiple departments and medical teams Flexible with scheduling, including weekends and occasional holidays Fluent English speaking and reading skills required Preferred Experience: Veterinary reception experience Medical secretary experience Customer service or hospitality experience About Bulger Veterinary Hospital Bulger Veterinary Hospital is a multi-specialty and emergency veterinary hospital serving pets and families throughout Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire.
