Job Description

Associate VeterinarianAndover Animal Hospital – Andover, MAPay Range: $132-165,000 (DOE) Not a morning person? Perfect. At Andover Animal Hospital, we’ve built a schedule that actually works for humans—especially the ones who do their best thinking (and medicine) a little later in the day. With hours that extend to 8pm, this is a place where you can skip the crack-of-dawn routine and still practice exceptional veterinary medicine. But this isn’t just about a different schedule—it’s about finding a hospital that meets you where you are and helps you grow into the veterinarian you want to be. Why Andover Animal Hospital? This is a busy, full-service hospital that sees a little bit of everything—and then some. We have maintained an AAHA standard for many years and continue to practice high-quality, thoughtful medicine every day. One thing that really sets this team apart? Exotics. In addition to dogs and cats, the caseload includes a wide range of exotic species, giving you the chance to build skills you won’t find in most general practices. If you’re early in your career (or just want stronger support), you’ll be surrounded by doctors who genuinely enjoy mentoring. Questions are encouraged, collaboration is the norm, and no one is left to figure things out alone. What You’ll Do You’ll practice high-quality medicine in a setting that’s fast-paced, supportive, and genuinely team-oriented. From wellness and preventative care to diagnostics, dentistry, and surgery, you’ll have the tools—and the support—to do your best work. And if you’ve ever been curious about exotics (or already love them), you’ll get real, hands-on experience here—not just the occasional case. What We’re Looking For We’re open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates who are excited to learn. The right person is curious, collaborative, and ready to be part of a team that truly enjoys working together. If you’re looking for a place where you can grow your confidence, expand your skills, and maybe even become “the exotics person” down the line—you’ll fit right in. Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance options PTO (full time) 401(k) (eligible after 6 months of employment) Company Sponsored Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Referral Bonus Employee Pet Care Discount AVMA PLIT (100% company paid) License reimbursement United Veterinary Care provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment in all job classifications without regard to race, color, religion, age, mental disability, physical disability, medical condition, gender, sexual orientation, genetic information, ancestry, marital status, national origin, veteran status, and other classifications protected by applicable state and local non-discrimination laws.
