Owensboro is located 2 hours west of Louisville, KY, and 2 hours north of Nashville, TN on the banks of the Ohio River. We are the 4th largest city in the state with a population of 60,000 and are known for our beautiful river front, festivals, parks, bluegrass music, and barbecue. Owensboro has 4 colleges, a state-of-the-art regional hospital, and is an unparalleled place to raise a family.

Wills Animal Hospital is looking to hire a full time associate veterinarian who is friendly, takes initiative, and shares our passion for outstanding patient care. Our 6 doctor privately-owned practice provides comprehensive preventative, medical, surgical, and dental care in a collaborative and team-focused environment. Wills Animal Hospital is a family friendly practice that is highly focused on supporting a positive mental health culture while providing quality, patient-centered care. We offer a highly competitive compensation and benefits package including health/dental/vision/life insurances, paid vacation, paid sick leave, professional licensing & dues, annual CE allowance, and personal pet discounts. Our doctors work a 4-day week, and we are closed on weekends. Catch up slots for records and call backs are scheduled daily. Wills is always trying to find new ways to expand the services we can offer and are happy to support any special interests you may have. Our 9000 square foot facility includes 8 exam rooms, a consultation room, treatment area, large break room, and boarding space with a fenced area with both grass and turf areas for walking patients. Each doctor is provided their own workspace with Cornerstone access. We strive to keep an outstanding staff to doctor ratio with each doctor having an assigned technician and assistant each day. Our staff includes dedicated surgical, lab/pharmacy, and treatment technicians. All doctors and LVTs are Fear Free Certified. All experience levels are welcome to apply, and we are happy to provide mentorship to new graduates! We also look forward to the opportunity to host externs and preceptors.
