Requirements
We are working on behalf of a modern small animal practice in Overland Park, KS that is looking to welcome Relief Veterinarians to its team. The practice offers general practice and daytime urgent care and is open seven days a week from 8:00am to 6:00pm, so there are no on-call shifts or late nights. Scheduling is built around you. Shifts are posted 4 to 6 months in advance and you simply request the dates that suit you, with half day shifts also available, either advertised or on request. Every relief doctor is backed by skilled veterinary nurses, and the whole team is Fear Free certified and practices low-stress handling. A dedicated virtual care team takes incoming calls, books appointments, collects medical records, helps with call backs, and is always on hand to talk through a case, so you can focus on the patient in front of you. Surgery is not required. If you enjoy it, you are welcome to work a few shifts first, get to know the team and workflow, and then have a conversation about joining the surgery schedule. Getting paid is straightforward: email your invoice within 7 days of the shift and it is paid on Net 15 terms.
