Practice Overview

St. Francis Pet Hospital is a thriving, family-owned and operated practice. We’ve been caring for pets across central Indiana for over 30 years, and in 2020, we opened a third location in Darby, Montana, because our founder refuses to retire! Our Indiana locations are small animal and exotic general practices, with one veterinarian who offers holistic medicine. Our Montana clinic began as a small animal practice and is now expanding into mixed animal medicine to better serve the community. We believe in practicing Common Sense Veterinary Medicine — providing excellent care in a balanced, thoughtful, and practical way.

About the Area

This location has served the Mooresville/Camby area for over 75 years. Originally known as Mooresville Veterinary Clinic, it joined the St. Francis Pet Hospital family in 1998 when Dr. Richard Soughers retired. It is now a 2.5-doctor practice with room to grow as the community expands. The clinic features a surgical suite, in-house lab, Erchonia lasers, handheld dental X-ray, and more. While modest in appearance, a full remodel is planned for 2026!

Job Description

Part-Time Surgery Veterinarian Central Indiana | Two Locations (12 miles apart) We are seeking a surgery-focused veterinarian to join our family-owned practice on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being in the OR and wants a predictable, procedure-based schedule without the demands of full GP work. Primary responsibilities include spays, neuters, and dental procedures with extractions. There is also opportunity to expand into more advanced soft tissue or orthopedic surgeries for the right candidate. We offer: • Flexible part-time scheduling • Supportive, experienced team • Well-equipped surgical facilities • Opportunity to grow the surgical caseload based on your interests • No routine appointments, but may be asked to perform consultations if more advanced surgical procedure will be done. If you enjoy surgery and want to focus your time where you thrive, we’d love to connect.
