Requirements
Countryside Veterinary Clinic is proud to be AAHA accredited! We are a full-service small animal hospital, offering the best in medical and surgical care seven days a week. Our practice is very well-established in the community and has been providing exceptional care to the pets of Kendall County for 50 years. Our diagnostic equipment includes an in-house lab, digital radiography, and digital dental radiography. We utilize a mobile veterinarian for our diagnostic ultrasounds and echocardiograms. We use AVImark for our electronic medical records. Our doctors perform a variety of routine surgeries, advanced soft tissue surgeries, and dentistry. One of our doctors has a passion for surgery and has done additional training in orthopedic procedures, including lateral sutures and medial patellar luxation repair. Our surgery suite contains two heated surgical tables, a surgical laser, and multiparameter monitoring equipment. Our dentistry equipment includes a dental machine and digital dental radiography. Pre-operative lab work, IV catheter, and IV fluids are required for every anesthetic patient. We also work with several rescues, giving us a large surgical caseload. Any candidate with an interest in surgery would have the opportunity to gain valuable surgical experience here. Most importantly, we have well-trained and well-utilized support staff who are crucial to the success of patient and client care. They are empowered to do everything they are trained to do, including taking radiographs, placing IV catheters, intubating, monitoring, and medicating patients. Doctors and technicians work together as a team each day, whether seeing appointments or doing surgery. Many of our support staff have been here for 20+ years, making them an incredibly capable team. To round out the group, our practice manager keeps us all on track and the practice running smoothly. Our practice is open Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 8 am to 7 pm, Thursday and Friday, 8 am to 5:30 pm, and Saturday, 8 am to 2 pm. Our wellness appointments are 30 minutes and our sick pet, new pet, and senior pet appointments are 40 minutes. We also block off time for emergencies in the morning and afternoon, for charting time, and for lunch. We can be flexible with scheduling! There are no on-call responsibilities since we have several referral/emergency locations nearby.
