Requirements
Sutton Road Animal Hospital is looking to add to our Reception Team with a part-time position (may consider full-time). The Receptionist is an important role in the hospital. They are often responsible for creating a good first and last impression on our clients. The successful candidate should have excellent customer relation skills, be reliable, flexible, hardworking and a team player. We are looking for someone with a great attitude, a "people person", cheerful, energetic, outgoing and of course an animal lover. Must be comfortable and confident working with computers, and able to learn new computer software quickly. We keep our receptionists very busy! You may be on your feet a lot and moving around. Job Responsibilities include: Greet clients and pets Check-in pets for their appointment Check computer records for accurate client and pet information Answer phones using a multi-line phone system Schedule and update appointments Answer client questions about veterinary services and products and provide knowledgeable advice about wellness, prevention and disease Communicate with other hospitals or facilities as necessary via fax or email Take accurate messages for our Veterinarians and staff Prepare consent forms, waiver forms, and health certificates/proof of vaccinations as needed Invoice out clients and collect payment Maintain a clean and neat reception area and front desk When needed, clean up after pets accidents in the reception area and exam rooms Veterinary experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. We hope to fill this role with someone looking for a long term commitment. It is a part-time position, 20-25 hours per week.
